It's a Romeo & Romeo story.
There is a guy I know from my french, he is from Palestine and he is homosexual.
There is a woman in my french who is extremely prejudiced and when she found out about his background, she refused to continue talking to him.
Back in Palestine "Guy" has a small family consisting of himself, his mother and his older brother. He told me that if his brother found out about his sexual appeal he - the older brother - would physically hurt him and then nerver speak to him again. His mother would be terribly disappointed but she would still love him and care for him because she is a little bit more urbane.
In his home country Guy had a boyfriend. In the Israeli army. They truly loved each other and meet whenever they could although they were born enemies and would be killed if they got caught.
Eventually it was to hard for them so they broke up.
When Guy told us his story we were all amazed and afterward I asked him if I could share it on my blog. He had no problem with that because here in Brussels it's much more excepted so he is open about it, as long as I didn't post his name.
